Steno has been named the first-place winner in the Court Reporting and Deposition category in The Recorder's Best of 2026 awards.

The Recorder has covered the intersection of law, business, and technology in California for more than a century. Its Best of 2026 survey asked attorneys and legal professionals to recognize the service providers they rely on most to help them adapt, stay competitive, and win cases. Nominations and voting were open from Feb. 23 through March 20, and winners were determined entirely by popular vote.

This recognition is important to Steno because it reflects the choice of the people who do the work. The Recorder's survey doesn't have a panel of judges or a self-nomination process. It asks attorneys and legal professionals to name the providers they trust. Earning first place in Court Reporting and Deposition is a direct reflection of what those professionals experience on the job.

Court reporting has historically been an underserved category in legal technology. Steno was built around the premise that legal professionals deserve faster transcript delivery, reliable service, and technology that reduces friction.

This recognition comes during a period of significant momentum for Steno. Following our $49 million Series C and Prabhdeep Singh's appointment as CEO, we've continued expanding into new markets and investing in the next generation of our litigation technology suite.

We're grateful to every legal professional who voted, and to the clients who trusted us enough to say so publicly.
